Monk Ignatius Tonsured at Holy Cross

Monk Ignatius Tonsured at Holy Cross - Holy Cross Monastery

Following the Vigil for the Transfiguration, Archimandrite Seraphim administered vows and tonsured Rassaphore-monk Theophan (Matthews) to the Small Schema, giving him as his first monastic obedience the new name of Ignatius (after St. Ignatius Brianchaninov).

Please pray that the grace of God, so manifestly shown forth today upon Mount Tabor, would also shine forth in the life and repentance of the newly-tonsured Monk Ignatius.
