The Venerable Cyril and Maria, the parents of St. Sergius of Radonezh, present a model of pious living which is instructive and inspiring for monastics and laypeople alike. They are considered the patron saints of families. The monastery of Hotkovo, where their relics are venerated by thousands of pilgrims each year, celebrated its 700 year jubilee recently.
A portion of their relics may be found at the Hermitage of the Holy Cross.
