Hawaii Iveron Icon Medallion

The Hawaiian Myrrh Streaming Iveron Icon of the Mother of God is an exact replica of the Myrrh-Streaming Iveron Icon of the Mother of God in Montreal. This Icon depicts the Mother of God holding the Christ Child. It is a paper print mounted on wood, manufactured in Russia and purchased in Toronto by a Fr. Anatole Lyovin, Rector of the Holy Theotokos of Iveron Russian Orthodox Church in Honolulu, who gifted the Icon to his Reader, Nectarios in early 2007. In October of that year, Reader Nectarios smelled a strong fragrance of roses coming from the area in which the icon was placed in his home. He noticed that the Icon of the Mother of God that he had received as a gift was completely saturated with the fragrant myrrh. He later took it to his parish church where it continued to emit this sweet-smelling substance.

In June 2008, the Holy Myrrh-Streaming Hawaiian Iveron Icon was officially recognized by Archbishop Kyrill of the Russian Orthodox Church as "miraculous and genuine and given the blessing to travel to churches of Holy Orthodoxy." Numerous miracles have been attributed to the Theotokos through this "humble little Icon." In a short period of time She has, by the Grace of God, healed a great many of the faithful. Physical and spiritual healings have included the healing from demonic possession, blindness, cancer, paralysis, kidney disease, and chronic pain.
